Max founded the Van Wyk Insurance Agency, now known as Van Wyk Risk Solutions, in 1982 with the desire to build long-term relationships built on trust and service excellence. Since then, the company has grown into a global risk management firm and earned a solid reputation with the clients it serves and the many insurance and risk services companies it represents.
Max has more than forty years of risk management and insurance experience. As CEO, he provides strategic leadership and direction as part of the company’s ownership team.
While he is versed in many areas of risk management, Max’s specialty areas of expertise include underwriting, marketing, and the development of many innovative programs to benefit Van Wyk’s clients. He is licensed in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health insurance.
Max received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Calvin University and his Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from Western Michigan University. He has chaired several civic, charitable, educational, and professional boards. Additionally, his leadership has helped Van Wyk be recognized as agent of the year multiple times with various insurance companies because of the firm’s professionalism and extraordinary client services.
