Alison provides strategic leadership as part of Van Wyk’s ownership team, overseeing the personal insurance division, student internship program, human resources, and information technology. As a shareholder, she plays a vital role in shaping the company’s direction.
In her role, Alison develops and manages private family groups, catering to the personal insurance and risk management needs of business owners, executives, and their families.
Alison directs Van Wyk’s esteemed internship program, a collaboration with Calvin University and Lloyd’s of London. She also tracks the educational pursuits of Van Wyk’s professionals, ensuring compliance with continuing education requirements and licensing in over forty states.
Alison is licensed in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health insurance. She holds the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation and has served on SECURA Insurance Company’s president’s advisory council. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business and social sciences from Calvin University and a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on human resource development from Western Michigan University.
