This has been a long-term goal for Van Wyk Risk Solutions and has not been a rushed decision. Our corporate culture stems from the understanding and belief that serving our clients and meeting their needs is priority number one. It is very important that we have the right people in place to support long-term benefit planning with smart and successful solutions.
Our most recent hire, Derek Temple, will lead the employee benefits team. Derek will serve as vice president of employee benefits. He strategically designs, analyzes, and implements ways to contain costs through various plan improvements and innovative solutions to improve HR efficiency.
Derek holds a BA in Mathematics Education from Hope College as well as the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from The American College for Financial Services. Additionally, he holds a Michigan Life & Health resident Producer License as well as non-resident licenses in more than a dozen states. To start his career, he completed Cigna’s sales and leadership academy in Bloomfield, CT and he continues to value continuing education and professional growth.
